Metrics collected include:

  • App Start Time (Warm)
  • Home Navigation Time
  • Search Navigation Time
  • Search Query Load Time
  • Episode Navigation Time
  • Profile Navigation Time
  • Video Start Time
  • Video Initial Buffering Time
  • Video Initial Player Time

How reports are collected

Metrics are collected through the TV Labs vision-based Automation Platform, which leverages our low-level metrics API. Typically, reports are run 500-1000 times per application per device type, scheduled against TV Labs' fleet of physical devices.

Physical devices are located in the TV Labs' device lab located in New York, New York. Metrics recorded for other physical regions make use of TV Labs' Teleport functionality to route all traffic through another physical region.
